It's heatwave week in Melbourne!!! And I know coming from Malaysia, I shouldn't be worried about heat and such cos cmon! Malaysia is hot 365 days!!
But then again, I had the luxury of an AIR-CONDITIONING unit and a FAN and I stay on the 12TH FLOOR of a condominium. Contrast to my condition here.... lack the said air-cond unit and fan...12th floor? More like 1st floor. And the heat here is so oppressive. It just seeps into your body and thanks to the months of accumulated fat (thank you chocolates, cakes and biscuits), my body is hotter than I can take.
To make things just a little worse, it's the exam period! The time of the year when you plonk yourself on the chair and stare into an overheating laptop beneath an equally-overheating table lamp (for the night time of course).
Come night time when it gets cooler (just), you would proceed to open the window and revel in some much-needed breeze now wouldn't you? So I did and lo behold! An army of tiny fly-like creatures swarmed into my room for food or shelter I shall never know because I kill them before any interrogation.
What's a cheapskate student like me to do?
1. Bathe more than once a day- CHECK
2. Hide in the crowded (and warm-ish) library or school building of choice- CHECK
3. Eat icy cold food- BEEN CRAVING BUT NO $$ FOR THAT ICE-BLENDED DRINK
4. Guzzle more water than a 4WD guzzles petrol- CHECK
5. Fan yourself; defeats the purpose of studying as I can't multitask to save my life- CHECK, with poor results
Can't think of anymore thus far. Sorry, someone has to study. *coughs* Toodles

Halfway Through
2 papers down, 2 more to go! Whee~~
And what do you do when you have a week's gap in between these couples?

You do random things of course! Like blogging or posting naff pictures.

The results of my bored-state-of-mind. Am waiting for dinnertime which should be about now 'cos I can smell good food coming from my neighbour's (hehe, Suh Ming!!!) room.

In my never-ending conquest to try different food (cheeses in this case), I snagged this 500g tub of cottage cheese. Low-fat by the way but not as if it helped much. Anyway, before I digress, this cheese sure doesn't taste like cheese. Eaten on its own, it tastes...plain. At least it became slightly gooey upon heating.

And this was from Doncaster Shopping Centre (note: Every suburb in Melbourne that I've seen thus far has a mall, big or small. And like all cookie-cutter buildings, the shops in each mall rarely vary.) Again, back to the topic. This thing here is actually a beef burger! With bacon! From Grill'd! Which was a fancy (or trying to be at least) gourmet fast food joint where we get to choose which bread we want. Not plain white or wholemeal by the way, but panini or gluten-free or if you wanna be dire and boring, traditional.
Just got back from a good lunch :) Yummy Korean food plus some fun chatter thrown in with some after-exam-relieved-feeling.
Back to studying for my next papers. :(

Hopes
Feeling abit under the weather due to prolonged sitting and staying in my room, I was dying (okay, maybe not that dramatic) for hot chocolate and cake.
And guess what! During the weekly supper, there was Milo for us and cakes, cookies and chips!
My prayers were answered! Woohoo. Now excuse me while I pray for good results for my finals. Who knows it might come true like today! :D

My back hurts; I'm tired and want to sleep but can't thanks to tutorial work; I have 2 meetings tomorrow of which one is an informal planning session for next year and the other, a formal meeting with some professional staff; I gotta go gym early morning; have to study for exams which are coming soon...
I want holidays now thankyouverymuch.

I feel like digging a grave for myself no thanks to my lack of foresight...and inability to be thoughtful.

A Trend
Notice how I'm blogging more often now? No? Well, here's something. It's ironic how when I have tons of activities out and about, I am too lazy/busy to blog about them. But when I have naught to do (like bumming in my room "studying"), I blog everyday and about stuff people deign to read. Stuff like my obsession for coffee. :D
One fine morning, Ms Y met a pair of hot studs, twins actually, called Mr W1 and Mr W2. She flirted first with the charming and kind Mr W1 but in the process, crushed his big heart with her mean, mean ways. What mean ways? Like hooking up with his twin bro, Mr W2. Now that one's a badboy. She was exhilarated with his wild motorbike/Mat Rempit ways...until he scorned her for Ms N. Ms Y was devastated and took her life.
Such a lame ending but at this hour, I can't do much creative thinking.
Till then!
Psst. The above story is based on true facts but not on real people. :D
